Rehabilitation & Nursing Center of the Rockies is certified by Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance on a case by case basis. Our team of health care professionals is led by a licensed administrator and a local physician who also serves as our medical director. Residents and families are encouraged to participate with our staff in the development of each resident’s individualized care plan.
Registered nurses, licensed nurses, and certified nursing assistants work together with other members of our staff to provide the appropriate level of care with areas such as medical needs, assistance with bathing and dressing, assistance with mobility, medication management, and assistance with total personal care.
The Special Care Unit is a safe and secured environment that has been designed to meet the needs of our residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The unit encourages wandering behaviors while decreasing the environmental stimulation that often results in agitation and confusion. The residents have access to an outdoor courtyard with walking paths. Therapeutic activities are designed specifically for these residents with exercise, reminiscence groups, music therapy, and functional daily activities including cooking and home management activities.
We have structured the environment and daily routines for our residents in order to maximize function in everyday living.
Our staff receives ongoing education and training on Alzheimer’s / Dementia disease processes, interventions, and techniques to calm and reassure the residents. Individual and family support is offered to counsel and support families and caregivers.
Our trained staff work closely with area Hospice agencies to provide comfort, privacy, and dignity for the patient and family in the final stages of life.
